About Us

Aspirations For Life is a campaign that received funding from the Government in 2009 and 2010 as part of the Valuing People Now Employment strategy - raising aspirations and expectations for people with learning disabilities.

This website is not only a legacy of the campaign but also a call to action for people from all over the country to drive forward real changes ensuring that
employment is a genuine possibility for all.  This is only the start!

Aspirations For Life has been a joint partnership between Paradigm and Pure Innovations supported by Skillnet, IBK Initiatives and Building Bridges Training. Paradigm is one of the country’s leading consultancy training and development agencies in the field of disability. Pure Innovations Ltd supports people to lead lead lives in thier communities, finding out what guidance they need, building their confidence and enabling them to achieve their potential.

Building Bridges Training is an independent social enterprise offering training which is delivered by people with learning disabilities. IBK is a research, consultancy and training agency whose aims are to promote inclusion and to challenge a disabling world. Skillnet Group is a social enterprise working with people with learning disabilities.  They support people to speak up, make choices, be heard and taken seriously.

Wendy Perez
Wendy is an Associate Consultant with Paradigm.  She is one of Britain’s leading self advocates and has previously worked for St Georges Hospital, Kings College and was involved in developing the learning disability policy which became Valuing People – visiting the USA as part of a government led fact finding team.
